My Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC was not automatically detected by vista, it seemed a bit strange as previously I have never faced any issue with the installation of a LAN card in any OS be it Linux or Windows and Ethernet cards are usually plug and play so with this problem I feared that I might never get this card ( which is built-in in my Intel motherboard )to work on vista.
Anyway after a bit of research I found the new drivers for vista at ftp://202.65.194.212/cn/nic/WinVista_6104_NIC_8139-20070620.zip I have downloaded and installed the new driver and now thankfully the lan card is working.
The link to driver that I have provided is from the realltek’s official website.
