Push Proxy Gateway (PPG)
WAP Push Proxy gateway (PPG) is used to bridge the
communication gap between the content server and the mobile user agent
as the content server cannot send the data directly to the mobile user
agent, like HHTP server cannot directly talk to a microbrowser.
The PPG sites between the between the internet based Push Initiator (PI) and the mobile user agent.On the Internet side the Push Access Protocol (PAP) is used and on the mobile Internet side the Push Over the air Protocol (OTA) is used .
