Mobile Switching center (MSC)
The Mobile Switching center (MSC) performs the telephony switching
functions for the network. It controls calls to and from other
telephone and data communication systems such as PSTN, ISDN, PLMN(
Public Land Mobile Network) and public data networks and various
private networks as well
